Military Family Advisory Network
As an applied mixed-methods researcher, Dr. Shanna A. Smith currently serves as the associate director of research for the Military Family Advisory Network (MFAN). During her time with the organization, she has also shared her expertise on MFAN’s external relations and programs teams. She continues to pay her award-winning career expertise forward by serving as a professor teaching a variety of undergraduate and graduate marketing and hospitality courses. Dr. Smith holds a Doctor of Business Administration from Walden University, a Master of Business Administration from Liberty University, and a Bachelor of Arts from Hardin-Simmons University. She proudly serves on the Walden Virtual Fulbright Chapter Board, Texas Governor’s Committee to Support the Military, Hardin-Simmons University Board of Trustees, and the Hiring Our Heroes Military Spouse Professional Network. For Dr. Smith, the well-being of military families is personal – she is a military child, sister, spouse, and U.S. Air Force Reserve Officer herself.
