Rachel Fisher, MS, MPH, RD is a Senior Advisor in the Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion (ODPHP) at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). She advises agency and departmental leaders on nutrition and physical activity science to shape health promotion and disease prevention policies. Rachel co-leads the HHS Food is Medicine initiative and serves as a Senior Advisor to the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness & Nutrition, supporting national efforts to promote healthy, active lifestyles. Previously, she spent 15 years in the Office of Nutrition Research at the National Institutes of Health. A registered dietitian, Rachel holds MS and MPH degrees from the Tufts Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy.
