Ruby Larson, (LSW, MSW) is a Manager of Policy Implementation with the Greater Chicago Food Depository. In an effort to increase program participation, retention, and improve program delivery, Ruby works with internal and external stakeholders to identify and understand WIC access barriers, local implementation challenges, and opportunities for awareness and partnership building. Ruby leads a portfolio of WIC initiatives in partnership with IDHS, including a Statewide Awareness and Outreach Campaign, and a local co-located services pilot in two Chicago communities. Ruby’s previous work experience includes direct service, case management, research, and program evaluation.
The Greater Chicago Food Depository, Chicago’s food bank, believes a healthy community starts with food. The Food Depository partners with a network of 850 organizations and programs, including food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, mobile distributions and other partners, working to bring food and opportunity to our neighbors across Chicago and Cook County.
